my brother recorded this from the back, but I was near the front. About 9 or so people fell down in the pit and had a hard time getting up. There was a rather long break trying to get people up cause people kept getting pushed and people couldn't help the people up cause of the pushing. I was pretty disgusted as well.

As a really big guy who almost passed out, almost fell, and was crowd surfed to safety I thank all of you who helped anyone out there. I've never feared for my life at any event. Things shouldn't go down like that. I was excited but feared for my life and the people around me who fell. And if you're one of those idiots who encouraged people to push then FUCK.YOU. We need to direct some media to this post because even the organizers might not know how close they were to having people literally die. I waited until the very end of the Rancid show so I wasn't able to get within a block of the stage, but the stories I heard were frightening.

Fuck these "hardcore" SOAD fans that pushed relentlessly despite people being seriously hurt. SO many people didn't give a fuck and stopped at nothing to get to the front. Also had people cheering for System during Merle Haggard and just being obnoxious not considerate. I'm glad to see people made it out of there tho. It was really a nightmare. But I appreciate the people that helped each other. Saved many lives honestly.

They played all of, what, two songs before stopping and asking people to let the hurt ones out. I honestly thought they were going to stop playing all together and really cause a riot. If people could control themselves and have some respect for the people around them there would be no problem, it's not the band's fault. They came to rock one of two shows they are playing in North America and they did just that. Everyone at that fest should have known good and well that the crowd at that show was going to be fucking insane. There was no reason to be in the pit if that was not what you wanted. I'm so sorry that anyone got hurt, but I knew well before the show that it was going to be the most intense pit of the weekend.
