Oh, and I had another thought today. Do you all remember during the 2006 Ozzfest tour how the press made so much out of the fact that System had 4 different tour buses? As if was proof that they weren't getting along?

Well guess what? System of a Down has FIVE buses on this tour. This isn't just 4 guys playing shows, but as Greg W. described it to me, SOAD is a MACHINE with many moving parts. They seriously have dozens of roadies & techs & other support personnel, and they need THAT many buses to haul them all around.

The minute the show was over the other night, we stepped out the way and watched as a long line of maybe 20 guys pushing wheeled cases went straight to the stage to break it down & pack it up. It was INSANE!

And during dinner, John joked that his bus was the "boring" bus. The one you can rest on. Maybe 'cause he doesn't smoke weed?

And I don't know for sure about all tour buses, but when Nik & I & 2 other friends were on Serj's tour bus with Erwin 3 years ago, back past the 3 levels of bunks there was a door in the back. We don't know, but we kind of assume it is a small private cabin for the "star" to sleep in. If these System buses are the same and they need so many, it only makes sense that our "stars" ride separately so they can each have a room.
